Castle cameras

This assignment taught me more about 3D than I've ever known. A few things that I learned are how to take multiple 3D objects, and group them so that it appears to be one consistent shape. An example of this is the spires on the towers in the front of my castle, as seen in the 5th picture. Another useful thing that I've learned is how to make walls look like they have depth. The way that I did this is by making a block shaped like a wall, resizing it and moving it lower, and then extending it out a little bit. My biggest challenge in 3D has been keeping my objects organized, and grouped. It's not a complicated thing to do, its just hard to get into the habit. If I were to do my castle over again, I would probably make an asian castle. If I hadn't done my research sketch, I would have been completely lost. The time that I spent drawing my castle helped me visualize in my head what I was going to create.
